Hands-on help during the feeds that are actually hard, in your own home. Breastfeeding positions, pumping, bottles, paced feeding, and combination feeding, from licensed pediatric RNs who work alongside your pediatrician or IBCLC. No judgment about how you choose to feed.
In-home feeding support is a visit from a licensed pediatric RN who watches a real feed in your own kitchen and helps you adjust it. That can mean latch and positioning, building a pumping routine, introducing bottles, or working out a combination plan. It is practical coaching, and it follows the plan your pediatrician or lactation consultant has set.

A pre-feed and post-feed weight on the same scale, to help estimate how much milk transferred at the breast during that feed. It is one data point rather than the whole story, and we read it alongside latch, swallowing, output and how your baby is doing. Interpretation sits with your IBCLC or pediatrician.
Not a demonstration on a doll. Your nurse watches how your baby actually feeds and helps you try practical changes to positioning, pacing, or bottle technique, within the plan your pediatrician or IBCLC has set.

Organizing a practical routine around your day and your current feeding plan, general pump and flange setup, storage and handling, and keeping parts clean without it taking over the kitchen. Pain, tissue injury, or supply concerns go to an IBCLC or your provider.
Paced bottle feeding, introducing a bottle, and practical help carrying out a combination plan. Volumes and supplementation stay with your pediatrician or IBCLC.

Who This Is For

Questions
A rough guide by day of life: day one, at least one wet and one dirty. Day two, at least two of each. Day three, at least three of each. Day four, at least four wet and three to four dirty. Day five onward, at least six wet and three to four dirty per day. Output is one of the things we record, and it is read alongside feeding and weight by your pediatrician rather than on its own.
No, and it is not meant to replace one. An IBCLC diagnoses and manages complex lactation problems. Our nurses provide hands-on practical coaching in your home and follow the plan your IBCLC or pediatrician has already set. Many families use both.
That is completely fine and it is a large part of what we do. Paced bottle feeding, volumes, timing, and building a combination plan that works are all part of the visit. No one is going to push you toward a particular method.
Yes. Building a pumping schedule around a workday, storage and handling, and getting a baby to take a bottle from someone else are common reasons families book.
Often, yes. It usually takes more than one attempt and a few changes to flow, position, and timing. We will be honest with you if we think it needs a different kind of assessment.
Yes, in two different senses, and they are worth separating. We can run a weighted feed, which measures how much milk transferred at a single feed. What we do not do is growth monitoring or decisions about whether your baby is gaining enough, which belong with your pediatrician. If something concerns us we will tell you to call them.
Your baby is weighed immediately before and immediately after a feed, on the same scale, without a change of clothing or diaper. The difference is how much milk they took. It turns "I think she got enough" into a number, which is particularly useful when feeds are long, when a baby is sleepy at the breast, or after a NICU stay.
On its own, no. It is one data point and every feed is different. We read it alongside feeding quality, latch, swallowing, hydration, output and weight trajectory, and the judgment about whether your baby is getting enough sits with your IBCLC or pediatrician. What we add is objective information so they are working from a measurement rather than recall.
