A nurse in the house overnight
Not advice from a distance. Your nurse is there for the wakings as they happen, which is when the useful decisions actually get made.
In-Home Sleep Support
Hands-on sleep support for older babies, in your own home, from pediatric RNs with a nurse practitioner behind every shift. For the four, six and nine month stretches where nothing that worked before works any more. This is not cry it out and good luck.
Looking for infant sleep help in Birmingham? On Call Peds Care provides in-home sleep support for babies around four, six and nine months old, and at other ages too, with specialty pediatric RNs who come to your house rather than coaching you over a video call. Your nurse works through frequent wakings, short naps, schedule struggles, sleep regressions and bedtime battles with you in real time, overnight, and you finish with a written plan of care and access to our CRNP. It is different from newborn overnight care, which is about getting you sleep now, and different from a sleep training program, because nobody is left to cry alone on a method.
What's Included
Swipe through what a shift includes, or call and we will walk you through what fits your family.
Not advice from a distance. Your nurse is there for the wakings as they happen, which is when the useful decisions actually get made.
There is no single method being applied to your family. What we do depends on what you are comfortable with and what your baby is actually doing.
The two that wear families down fastest. Your nurse works through both with you rather than handing you a schedule and wishing you luck.
The four, six and nine month stretches where what worked last month stops working and nobody tells you why.
The hour before sleep is often where the whole night is decided, and it is the part most parents are too depleted to troubleshoot alone.
You are not left to remember what was said at 2 a.m. You finish with something written down, plus access to our nurse practitioner.
Your Nurse
You are letting someone into your home. Here is what stands behind the person who arrives.
Who This Helps
Sleep support suits families who are past the newborn weeks and have run out of road.
Scope
Sleep support is education and hands-on help in your home. On Call Peds Care provides private-pay, in-home support. It is not medically ordered care, and it does not replace your pediatrician.
Looking for something else? Overnight newborn care, for the first weeks, and Safe sleep setup for a newborn.
How It Works
Your baby's age, what the wakings and naps are doing, and what you have already tried.
Within 24 to 48 business hours you will have real availability and a quote. No obligation.
Matched on your baby's age, the pattern you are dealing with, and how you want to approach it.
Your nurse works the night with you, and you finish with a written plan of care rather than a memory of a conversation.
Pricing
Pricing depends on how many nights you need and what the pattern looks like. Tell us your baby's age and what the nights are doing and we will send a clear quote with no pressure to book.

Questions
Not in the sense most people mean. There is no method being applied to your baby and nobody is left to cry alone. It is a pediatric RN in your house overnight, working through the wakings with you and shaping the guidance around how you want to parent.
Most families come to us around four, six or nine months, which is where the common regressions land. It is not limited to those ages. If your baby is older and the nights are not working, ask.
Overnight newborn care is about you getting sleep now, in the first weeks, while your nurse takes the baby. Sleep support is about changing the pattern for an older baby, so you are involved rather than asleep down the hall.
A consultant usually writes you a plan and checks in remotely. Our nurses are in your home overnight while it is actually happening, and they are licensed pediatric RNs with a nurse practitioner behind them.
No, and be careful of anyone who does. What we can tell you is what we are seeing, what is developmentally reasonable to expect at your baby's age, and what to change next.
That is one of the reasons a nurse is useful. Reflux, breathing, feeding and other medical causes are not ours to diagnose, but they are ours to notice. We document what we see and tell you to take it to your pediatrician.
Yes. A written plan of care, plus access to our nurse practitioner. You are not left trying to remember what was said in the middle of the night.

What Families Say
“Having On Call Peds Care there to care for our newborn overnight gave my wife and me the rest we desperately needed. That extra sleep did not just make us feel better, it made us better parents. If you are on the fence about night nursing, I cannot recommend them highly enough. It was worth every penny.”
“On Call Peds Care is the best decision my husband and I made postpartum. Leslie and her team provided the most personalized care for me and my baby. Knowing you have medical professionals watching after your child while you sleep brings a peace I truly cannot explain.”
“Having a reflux baby made nights so hard and left me exhausted and unsure how to help. Bringing in a nurse was such a gift. She helped us get our girl comfortable, reset, and start learning to self-soothe. So grateful for the support of an RN and NP who helped us create a plan.”
